Kastros CTRM

for Kastros Group · Dubai and Pakistan

A five-desk trading platform for a physical corn book that used to run on Excel, gate registers and phone calls. A truck at the gate now posts to the ledger and updates net position in real time.

  • Category Commodity trading and risk platform

The challenge

Positions were reconciled by emailing a spreadsheet every morning. Trucks arrived at the gate with no system record. Payments were cleared on trust, then chased. Nobody could answer "what is our net position in corn, by season, right now?" without an hour of manual work — and generic accounting software has no concept of a maund, an ex-warehouse sale or a Sindh versus Punjab origin split.

What Astriva delivered

  • Trading, execution, finance, risk and CEO desks with real approval chains
  • Gate pass, receipt or dispatch, payment and position linked in one unbroken chain
  • Live net position, mark-to-market and weighted inventory valuation from the same records
  • Print-ready Delivery Orders, gate-out slips and trade contracts aligned to existing templates
  • Built for Pakistan — PKR, maund/MT, 236G tax, local incoterms and payment terms

In context

Kastros runs a physical commodity book — buying corn from Sindh and Punjab, storing it across rented warehouses and selling ex-warehouse to mills. We connected the whole chain: the trader books the deal, execution moves the truck, finance clears the payment and the warehouse gets a proper Delivery Order and gate pass, while position and inventory update as it happens.

Contract lock gates warehouse allocation. Truck assignment posts debits and credits. Delivery Orders route through the execution head, then the finance head, before a gate pass can be issued. The production core is live for corn; wheat, cotton, pulses and palm oil are architecture-ready for a second phase.

Supported outcomes

  • Corn is live end-to-end, from trade booking to settlement
  • Net position is answered from the system, not from a morning email
  • Every physical event posts to the ledger automatically
